The university's concert choir, conducted by Prof. Steven Heelein, regularly performs demanding oratorio projects and a cappella programmes in public. It consists of all students at the university and interested and ambitious external singers. The "German Requiem" is on the programme for the 2026 summer semester. Alumni of the university are invited to participate. If you are interested or have any questions, please contact heelein(at)hfk-bayreuth.de directly.

The studio/chamber choir brings together students from the university and serves as a rehearsal ensemble in which students acquire valuable skills in choral conducting under the direction of Prof. Steven Heelein and KMD Ingeborg Schilffahrth. It also dedicates itself to challenging a cappella literature and performs in public at church services and concerts. Choir tours have taken it to England, Austria, Hungary and Italy, among other places. In the summer of 2024, the choir visited Sweden for the first time.

The children's and sparrow choirs at the university present themselves and their work in several projects throughout the year – the choir has presented a total of 28 children's musicals to date. In the summer of 2025, "Freude, Töne, Götterfunken" (Joy, Sounds, Divine Spark) is on the programme, a musical featuring Ludwig van Beethoven and written by John Høybye.
Magdalena Kilian is responsible for conducting. For more information on participating in the choirs, please visitwww.kinderchor-bayreuth.de.

The Stimmwerk ensemble brings together students from the University of Church Music, the University of Bayreuth and external singers, and is part of the university's popular music department. The choir is dedicated to polyphonic cover versions of well-known songs from the jazz, Latin and pop genres. Hits by Adele, Billy Eilish and the Eurythmics are just as much a part of the repertoire as jazz standards and sophisticated arrangements by Pentatonix and the New York Voices. The choir is conducted by Professor Jochen Roth. It is open to interested singers, preferably in the alto and tenor voice ranges.
