C training

Attention: Reorganisation!
Requirement profiles and sample tasks are currently being revised.

Training for part-time church music ministry, culminating in the "Grand Examination for Part-time Church Music Ministry", can be undertaken at the university either as a full-time student, a visiting student or an external student. The examination is held at the affiliated Institute for Protestant Church Music.

full-time study

As a full-time student, the goal of the "Major Examination for the Church Music Minor" can only be pursued within the framework of the Bachelor's programme in Church Music. Therefore, the admission requirements for the Bachelor's programme in Church Music must be met. After one year in the Bachelor's programme, the aforementioned examination can be taken and the programme can then be completed. However, this means that if BaföG (student loan) is being claimed, the programme will be considered discontinued. There are no tuition fees.

visiting student

This training can also be completed as a visiting student. Visiting students have a maximum of two years to pass the "Grand Examination for the Minor Office of Church Music". They receive lessons in all subjects according to the timetable. Tuition fees are based on the university's current fee schedule. Visiting students do not have the status of a student with regard to child benefit, health insurance, etc.

External

It is also possible to prepare for the "Grand Examination for the Minor Office of Church Music" externally, e.g. under the guidance of a deanery church musician, and to take the examination at the Institute of Church Music.
