Visiting/contact studies

Visiting students may be admitted if they are particularly deserving of support due to their aptitude and abilities.
Basic Regulations of the University, Section 8

Visiting student status is limited to selected subjects. The decision on admission is made by the university management.

The guest study programme serves, for example, to

in preparation for the major examination for the church music ministry or
to prepare for the aptitude test for a degree in (church) music, but also
for personal development in individual subjects or
as a contact course for professional church musicians.

The contact study programme is aimed at church musicians in full-time service, but also at other interested parties who are involved in or commissioned to perform church music in the church (e.g. deacons or pastors). The contact study programme is open not only to employees of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bavaria, but also to church employees of all member churches of the EKD.

Visiting students are not students in the legal sense with regard to health insurance, BAföG, child benefit, etc. Please enquire at the relevant offices. Any certificates that may be required regarding the type, scope and content of the visiting student programme will be issued by the university on a case-by-case basis.
